Ezekiel Elliott Shares Six-Word Message After Patriots Signing

According to Ian Rapoport, free agent running back Ezekiel Elliott of the Cowboys is anticipated to sign a one-year contract with the Patriots.

Elliott posted a brief message to his supporters on X, then known as Twitter, after learning about the one-year deal, expressing his eagerness to begin playing in New England.

"One Five, live all the way!" Elliott posted something on the social media site and tagged the Patriots account in it.

The "One Five" was an allusion to Elliott's planned No. 15 jersey in New England. He wore No. 15 while a student at Ohio State, and he probably will again with the Patriots.

The number 21 jersey Elliott wore for the Cowboys is presently worn by defensive back Adrian Phillips in New England.

Although Corliss Waitman's jersey number for the Patriots is recorded as 15, Elliott's post suggests that it may change.

Before leaving the organization this offseason, Elliott had played his entire NFL career in Dallas.

According to Adam Schefter, his one-year contract with the Patriots may be worth up to $6 million.
