Odell Beckham Jr.'s $200 million NFL contract may have been the first:

The NFL salary for Odell Beckham Jr. may have been even higher.

The mercurial wideout was prevented from making NFL history, in the opinion of former receiver Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson.

On the first episode of their "Uno & Ocho Show," Johnson said about former Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, "Listen, man, that's that boy."

Chad Ochocinco bemoaned the fact that Odell Beckham Jr. could have had a higher salary if it weren't for his injuries.Sports USA TODAY via Reuters Con

"I wish we could go back in time to when he was never wounded. 'O' may have been the first $200 million transaction, in my opinion.

He doesn't simply play football, though. The man is larger than that.

Currently, Beckham has a one-year, $15 million contract with the Ravens as he works to recover from a knee injury suffered during the Rams' Super Bowl victory in 2022.

With his highlight-reel catches in his early days with the Giants, the LSU product appeared bound for greatness. And he received an early payoff with a five-year, $95 million contract with Big Blue beginning in 2018.
